I had to do some soldering on a broken trunk wire on the S2000 today. I always seem to shrink the heat shrink prematurely with the heat from the soldering iron. In this case, there was very little extra room to push it back away from the solder joint. I also burned my fingers slightly on the iron... but that’s my own damn fault.

Happily, my remote trunk release works again!! It’s a known issue with the S: Honda made the wiring loom on the trunk lid too tight, and the wires there (including the third brake light) commonly snap. I’m just hoping I don’t have to go back and redo it with any frequency.

I also lubricated the squeaky accelerator pedal. Nothing like getting on it in a corner, only to hear a little “shree” every time you push or lift. A few drops of 3-in-1 on the edges of the hinge pin thingy did the trick.
